Can you describe the events of the Udyapan ceremony from Dev's perspective and explain why he felt let down by Sai Baba?

📖 Chapter 40

From Dev's perspective, his Udyapan ceremony was a source of great disappointment. He had lovingly invited Sai Baba, who had assured him, "I am coming." As Chapter 40 describes, Dev waited with great anticipation for a profound experience or a clear sign of Baba's presence. However, Baba did not appear in the form Dev expected. Although three uninvited guests—a Sanyasi and two companions—came and ate, Dev did not recognize them as Baba and his party because of a "veil of Maya." He was clouded by doubt and felt that Baba's promise had failed. He later wrote a sorrowful letter to Jog, expressing his confusion, stating, "I waited with great effort, but no experience came."
