The Chavadi procession was a grand, joyous, and multi-sensory event. According to Chapter 37, the route was decorated with arches, garlands, and flags. The area around the Masjid was lit with many rows of lamps, and torches and fireworks like 'Nale' and 'Chandrajyoti' illuminated the procession. The air was filled with music from a variety of instruments, including horns, trumpets, mridanga, veena, cymbals, and wooden clappers. Adding to the soundscape were the devotees themselves, who walked in rows singing bhajans, shouting cries of victory, and chanting Sai's name with great love and joy.
