The Chavadi procession was a vibrant and joyous celebration. As described in Chapter 37, it began with a bhajan group assembling at the Masjid, singing devotional songs until midnight. Devotees would play cymbals, mridanga, and bells, creating what is called a 'storm of bhajan.' The area was elaborately decorated with arches, garlands, and rows of lamps.
