The Chavadi procession was a grand and joyous event. According to Chapter 51, it was filled with music from horns, bugles, and trumpets, along with the sweet sounds of mridanga and cymbals. A decorated horse named Shyam-Sundar would dance at the front of the procession. Devotees carried flags, banners, and torches, while an umbrella was held over Sai Baba's head in the palanquin. Groups of devotees walked on both sides, singing bhajans and joyfully shouting slogans of victory as they accompanied Baba from the Masjid to the Chavadi.
