According to Chapter 14 of the Shri Sai Satcharitra, Sai Baba's methods of saving devotees were multifaceted and extended beyond the physical. The text states that he would meet his followers under various pretexts to save them from calamities. More profoundly, he worked to save them from internal dangers, describing one of his purposes as helping to destroy the "difficult bad tendencies of the devotees, which are like wicked demons."
