Chapter 25 introduces Damu Anna as a wealthy Kasar, or bronze-smith, from Ahmednagar who was a devoted follower of Sai Baba. We learn about his significant personal and devotional ties to Shirdi. Despite having two wives, he was initially childless but was blessed with sons through Sai's grace. Furthermore, he played a key role in the annual Ram Navami festival. It was a long-standing tradition for Damu Anna to provide one of the two large new flags that were carried in a procession through the village and tied to the ends of the Masjid, a vow he carried out with uninterrupted devotion.
