Chapter 33 provides several examples of how Udi was used. In the case of Khimji Lalji Joshi's daughter, it was first brought to her by her mother, and later Maharaj himself directly applied the Udi to her. In another instance, Hari Sitaram Dixit's friend, who suffered from insomnia, was simply given the Udi to take on his own. The text also details a daily ritual for general purification, where one is advised to apply Udi after bathing and also to drink it along with Charanteerth. These examples show that the Udi's power could be conveyed through direct application by Baba, by being taken orally by the devotee, or simply by being applied with faith.
