Based on the teachings, what is the 'causal body' or 'Unmanifest' and how can a person be liberated from it?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 50

The 'causal' (karana) body of the soul is also known as the 'Unmanifest' (Avyakruta). According to Chapter 50, it is characterized by the reflection of consciousness and is the result of pure ignorance (Avidya). This state is described as being neither with parts nor without parts. Liberation, or Moksha, from this causal body is not achieved through any means other than the direct knowledge of the unity of Brahman and the Soul. The text emphasizes that when this knowledge arises, ignorance is removed, and abiding in one's own true form is what constitutes liberation.
