Based on Chapter 7, what was Sai Baba's attitude towards the caste system and ritual purity?

📖 Chapter 7

The seventh chapter of the Shri Sai Satcharitra clearly states that for Sai Baba, caste did not matter in the slightest degree. He was described as being the same to all castes, with no distinction of birth, whether one was a Shudra or an outcaste. This is because he had no ego regarding his physical body. The text provides examples of this attitude, noting that even the most respected Brahmins and Agnihotris (keepers of the sacred fire) would abandon their pride in ritual purity and prostrate before him. Chapter 7 further illustrates his transcendence of purity rules by stating that his mind felt no disgust even if a dog were to put its mouth into the food, a scenario that would deeply trouble a person concerned with ritual cleanliness.
