Based on Chapter 49, what is considered the highest form of spiritual practice for a devotee?

📖 Chapter 49

Chapter 49 clearly elevates devotion to the Guru above all other spiritual disciplines. The text presents a hierarchy of practices, stating that penance is greater than pilgrimages, vows, sacrifices, or charity. It continues by saying that singing Hari's name is greater than those, but it concludes that "the meditation on one's own Guru is the greatest of all." For the devotee, Sai is the ultimate object of focus. As the chapter describes, "Sai alone is the object of meditation for His devotees; Sai alone is their worship of deities. Sai alone is their secret treasure." This establishes that single-minded contemplation and love for the Guru is the supreme path.
