Based on Chapter 37, what makes a place or an existence truly worthwhile, if not the pleasures of heaven?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 37

Chapter 37 suggests that a truly worthwhile existence is not defined by location, like heaven, or by the duration of one's life, but by the presence of devotion. The text dismisses the heavenly abode as a mere place for sensual enjoyment that one eventually falls from. It asks, "Where there is no chanting of Govinda's name, what is the use of such a place?" A place is considered useless if it lacks devotees of God, the narration of stories about Hari and the Guru, and the devotional practices of music, dance, and worship. In contrast, the earth-world, despite its fleeting nature, is deemed profoundly important. This is because even a momentary action performed and offered to God can lead one to the ultimate 'place of fearlessness,' highlighting that devotion and surrender are the true measures of a valuable life.
