Based on Chapter 23, what is the spiritual cause of human suffering and what is the prescribed path to find peace?

📖 Chapter 23

Chapter 23 explains that the soul's true nature is Existence-Consciousness-Bliss (Sacchidananda), existing beyond the three gunas. However, human suffering arises when the soul, deluded by Maya, forgets this true nature and mistakenly identifies with the physical body. This leads to pride and the false belief that one is the "doer" and "enjoyer," resulting in distress from life's calamities. According to this chapter, the one and only way to calm these troubles and escape this cycle of suffering is through Bhakti Yoga, which is defined as loving devotion at the feet of the Guru.
