Based on Chapter 17, what prompts a person to start seeking a way out of worldly existence, and what does it mean to exercise 'true human effort' in this context?

📖 Chapter 17

As explained in Chapter 17, the catalyst for seeking a higher path is often profound suffering. A person becomes exhausted by enduring the 'three unendurable torments' (Tritapa) while caught in the incessantly spinning wheel of worldly existence (Samsara). This peak of sorrow leads them to search for a way to stop this cycle. When this thought arises, 'true manhood' (Purushartha) is born. 'True human effort' then involves strengthening one's intellect to choose Shreya over Preya, which is the true purpose of human life. It means struggling firmly, like Dattatreya, to resist the obstacles that arise on this difficult path.
