Based on Baba's teachings, how can one identify a true Guru?

In Chapter 19, Baba doesn't provide a list of external signs to identify a true Guru but instead points to a profound inner realization. The ultimate truth is that the Guru is not separate from God or from your own deepest Self. Baba states, "The Inner Self is God, and God is the Guru; there is not an atom of difference between the three." Therefore, a true Guru is one who guides you toward this non-dual understanding, helping you dissolve the illusion of separation. Their role is to help you realize the eternal reality within yourself, rather than competing for perishable worldly gains.
