Baba taught that Knowledge was the greatest path, so why did he usually recommend Devotion to his followers?

📖 Chapter 19

While Baba did preach that Knowledge (Jnana) is the greatest of all paths, he recognized its inherent difficulty, as detailed in Chapter 19. He compared Jnana to a Ramphal (Bullock's heart fruit), which offers superior sweetness but requires great patience and skill to ripen correctly on the tree; if it falls, it becomes pungent. This represents the precariousness of the path of knowledge. In contrast, Baba likened the path of Devotion (Bhakti) to a Sitaphal (Custard apple), which is also sweet and juicy but is an easy and accessible means for spiritual attainment. Because of its simplicity and lower risk, Sai, the 'Cloud of Mercy,' mostly explained Devotion and the chanting of the Name to his disciples as a practical way to break worldly bonds.
