Baba speaks about the transient nature of the body. What does he say is the only true gain in this life, and how is it achieved?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 8

In the face of our fleeting existence, Baba teaches that worldly gains like wealth, family, or even ruling the entire earth will not satisfy the mind. According to Chapter 8, the only thing truly gathered as gain is the time spent in holy stories and spiritual talk; all other time is considered waste. This realization, however, does not stick without direct experience. To gain this essential experience and achieve the wealth of eternal happiness, one must engage in spiritual practice. This involves worshipping God in all beings and giving up attachment to the perishable body, using it solely as a servant for spiritual progress to ultimately escape the cycle of birth and death.
