As we build a community around Sai, how should we view our life on Earth compared to heavenly realms?

📖 Chapter 37

Chapter 37 offers a clear perspective for a community of devotees. It argues that 'the earth-world is of profound importance,' even more so than heavenly realms. The text explains that one eventually falls from heaven after their merit is exhausted, but life on Earth, though fleeting, offers a unique opportunity. A person who offers every action performed in a moment to God can attain the 'place of fearlessness.' The chapter dismisses the pursuit of heavenly realms as they are merely for sensual enjoyment, which it boldly states is of equal weight to the pleasure a donkey finds in a dung-heap. Therefore, a Sai community should cherish life on Earth as the primary ground for spiritual practice and devotion.
