Although Amir Shakkar was confined to the Chavadi for nine months and forbidden from going to the Masjid, his assigned location turned out to be a great blessing. As Chapter 22 reveals, the Chavadi's placement allowed Baba's vision to 'happen automatically without effort.' Baba's daily path for alms in the morning took him right by the Chavadi, giving Amir an easy vision as He went and came. Furthermore, every evening, Baba would come in front of the Chavadi, and on alternate nights when Baba slept there, only a nominal curtain separated them, allowing for conversation.
Amir was forbidden from visiting the Masjid for Baba's darshan. How did his confinement in the Chavadi paradoxically lead to more frequent visions of Sai?
