After receiving the disappointing letter, what was Damu Anna's next course of action and why?

Despite his initial disappointment, Damu Anna did not give up completely. Chapter 25 explains that the reply letter also contained a hint from Madhavrao: "There is a difference between hearing and seeing; you should come here in person." Taking this suggestion, Damu Anna felt it was right to go to Shirdi. He traveled there with the lingering hope that a personal visit might persuade Baba to change his mind and grant permission for the business venture. Upon arrival, he approached Baba and massaged his feet, but he lacked the courage to ask about the matter again.
