After Cholkar passed his exam, he delayed his trip to Shirdi. What challenges did he face and how did he maintain his devotion during this time?

📖 Chapter 15

After passing his exam, Cholkar faced significant financial difficulties that prevented him from immediately traveling to Shirdi. Chapter 15 explains that for a worldly man, crossing the "threshold-ghat" of home expenses is extremely difficult, causing him to postpone his journey. Despite this delay in fulfilling his public vow, Cholkar undertook a private, personal penance to maintain his devotion. He completely gave up sugar, treating it as an inedible substance and even drinking his tea without it, until he could finally afford the trip and fulfill his promise to Baba.
