After Annasaheb's government service concluded in 1916, he visited Shirdi on Guru Purnima. As recounted in Chapter 3, another devotee, Anna Chinchonikar, pleaded with Baba on Annasaheb's behalf, expressing concern that his pension would be insufficient for his growing household and asking Baba to find him a new job. In response, Sai Baba provided reassurance, stating, "He will get a job, damn it! Now he should do my service; he will find happiness in the household." Baba further promised that Annasaheb's "plates are always full; they will never be empty as long as he lives" and that his troubles would be removed through devoted service.
