According to the text, what is the prerequisite for encountering a Saint, and what prevents it?

Chapter 21 of the Sai Satcharitra very clearly states that encountering Saints and Sages is not a matter of mere chance or proximity; the primary prerequisite is the dawning of good fortune and the presence of God's grace. The text explains that without this grace, the union is difficult to attain. Conversely, the chapter identifies "ill-luck" as the main obstacle. The author uses his own experience of not visiting Pir Maulana, who was in the same city, as an example, stating, "One fears one's own shadow when ill-luck stands in the way." Therefore, even if a Saint is physically near, an unfortunate person cannot truly see or recognize them.
