According to the teachings, what role do patience and knowledge play in transcending the cycle of rebirth and worldly sorrow?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 37

The teachings explain that the cycle of rebirth is perpetuated by desires, which act as seeds for future lives. To end this cycle, desires must be destroyed at their root. Chapter 37 describes the 'ocean of worldly existence' as being rooted in darkness and states that to reach the other shore, Brahma-Jnana (knowledge of Brahman) is the pure remedy. However, attaining this liberating knowledge requires specific virtues. The text highlights that 'full faith and patience' are the keys to this process. These qualities allow one to receive the necessary grace to see the divine within and ultimately break free from the sorrowful cycle of rebirth.
