According to the story told by Sai Baba, how did greed lead to the brothers' unfortunate rebirth as goats?

📖 Chapter 46

In the story Sai Baba shared, the two brothers initially had great love and unity. However, as explained in Chapter 46, a "difficult combination of karma and circumstances" led to a "terrible greed for wealth" which created enmity between them. The elder brother, blinded by this greed, chose crooked paths and forgot the bond of brotherly love, becoming ready to kill his sibling. The text states his vision was "blocked by the delusion of wealth." This uncontrollable greed and false pride caused them to fight like enemies, ultimately leading them to kill each other. As a direct consequence of these violent actions, they were reborn as goats to suffer for their past deeds.
