According to the Satcharitra, why does the soul experience suffering, and what is the prescribed solution?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 23

The source explains that the soul is inherently beyond the three gunas and is of the nature of Existence-Consciousness-Bliss (Sacchidananda). However, as Chapter 23 details, it becomes deluded by Maya and forgets its true nature, mistakenly identifying with the body. This leads to pride, the feeling of being the "doer" and "enjoyer," and ultimately results in distress from a series of calamities. The only way to escape this suffering and calm these calamities is through loving devotion, or Bhakti Yoga, at the feet of a Guru. The Guru, like Shri Rang (Sai), has the power to color the devotees in His own hue and guide them out of their delusion.
