According to the Sai Satcharitra, why does the human soul experience suffering, and what is the prescribed path to find relief?

📖 Chapter 23

Chapter 23 explains that the soul, in its true essence, is Existence-Consciousness-Bliss (Sacchidananda) and beyond the three gunas. However, it becomes deluded by Maya, causing it to forget this true nature and mistakenly identify with the body. This leads to the prideful thought, 'I am the doer, I am the enjoyer,' which results in a succession of calamities and distress. As detailed in this chapter, the only way to calm these calamities and escape this suffering is through the practice of loving devotion, or Bhakti Yoga, at the feet of the Guru.
