According to the Sai Satcharitra, what is the true purpose of human life, and how is it different from the existence of animals?

📖 Chapter 8

Chapter 8 of the Sai Satcharitra presents a deep philosophical perspective on human existence. It argues that the true purpose, or duty, of human birth is the attainment of the Supreme Self (Paramatman). The text pointedly asks what the difference is between a human and an animal like a dog or pig if life is spent only on the four activities of eating, sleeping, fear, and mating. As explained in Chapter 8, dogs also fill their bellies and reproduce, so if a human life is limited to just nourishing the body and seeking pleasure, it is considered useless. True success in human birth is defined as the realization of the Eternal, which makes a human being free, fearless, and independent.
