According to Sai Baba's teachings, what is the responsibility of a householder when it comes to providing food?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 9

Based on the teachings described in Chapter 9, a householder has a significant spiritual duty regarding food. The scriptures mandate that before a householder consumes any food cooked in their home, they must first offer a portion to ascetics and celibates. If a householder eats without first giving them a share, they begin to incur the need for penance, as per strict scriptural injunction. This is because ascetics and celibates, like Baba, are prohibited from cooking for themselves, and the scriptures have entrusted their sustenance to householders. By giving alms, the householder not only fulfills this duty but also achieves their own welfare.
