According to Hemadpant's initial doubts, what is the relationship between a Guru, karma, and suffering?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 2

Initially, Hemadpant grappled with the purpose of a Guru in the face of suffering and karma. As recounted in Chapter 2, his doubt was triggered by a tragic event where a close friend's only son died despite the presence of his Guru. This led Hemadpant to question, "Is this the utility of a Guru? He couldn't even save an only son!" He reasoned that if every living being is governed by the system of Karma and destiny is irresistible, then a Guru's intervention seems futile. He concluded that one must experience the joy or difficulty that comes by chance, wondering, "What can Gurus do against Karma?" This perspective caused his initial interest in visiting Sai Baba to wane significantly.
