Chapter 6 of the Shri Sai Satcharitra emphasizes that surrendering to the Sadguru is the key to both spiritual and worldly success. It states that a boat with the Sadguru as its helmsman is the only one that will reach the far shore. By surrendering with one's body, speech, and mind to the capable Sai, a devotee can attain the four principal goals of human life—Dharma (righteousness), Artha (wealth), Kama (desires), and Moksha (liberation)—which are said to come to hand naturally without asking.
