According to Chapter 49, what qualities define a true devotee, and what traits should be avoided?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 49

Chapter 49 of the Sai Satcharitra draws a sharp distinction between true and false devotion. It asserts that anyone who has pride in their body, arrogance about their knowledge, or a sense of superiority is not deserving of the title "Devotee." True "Devotee-hood" is possessed only by the one who is completely devoid of ego. The chapter criticizes those who are an "abode of hypocrisy" and fail to sing the fame of their Guru with love. Instead, it teaches that a devotee's only true wealth is love for the Guru's feet and a cultivated taste for the company of saints.
