According to Chapter 49, what makes someone a true devotee, and what kind of attitudes should be avoided?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 49

Chapter 49 provides a clear definition of a true devotee, stating that "The one who is completely devoid of ego truly possesses 'Devotee-hood.'" Conversely, it warns that someone who has "complete pride in his body does not deserve the title of 'Devotee.'" The chapter strongly criticizes those with arrogance of knowledge, pride of superiority, and hypocrisy. Furthermore, it describes those who do not lovingly sing the fame of their Guru as the "personification of dull-wittedness." The ideal attitude for a devotee is to cultivate love for the Guru's feet, which is described as our "only true wealth," and to develop a taste for the company of saints.
