According to Chapter 49, what are the key differences between a true devotee and someone who is not?

📖 Chapter 49

Chapter 49 draws a sharp distinction between a true devotee and others. It asserts that a person who has "complete pride in his body" does not deserve the title of a devotee. True "Devotee-hood" is possessed only by one who is completely devoid of ego. The chapter is critical of those who exhibit the arrogance of knowledge, pride of superiority, and hypocrisy. Furthermore, it labels those who do not sing the praises of their Guru with love as the "personification of dull-wittedness." Therefore, humility and egoless, loving devotion to the Guru are the defining traits of a genuine devotee.
