According to Chapter 43, if saints are beyond birth and death, why do they take on a physical body?

📖 Chapter 43

The texts clarify that saints take on a physical form for a specific purpose. Chapter 43 states that they become manifest for the salvation of devotees and incarnate with the sole desire for their welfare. Their physical existence is a spontaneous play of Yoga, a willed act rather than a karmic necessity. Even though they have a body, it is described as merely an adjunct, and they remain free from bodily impulses and even unaware of physical or mental illnesses. So, while they appear to undergo birth and death, Chapter 43 emphasizes that these are false imaginations for beings who are eternally free and only manifest for the spiritual upliftment of others.
