According to Chapter 37, what is the true nature of heaven and how does it contrast with a place of sensual enjoyment?

📖 Chapter 37

Chapter 37 presents a profound reinterpretation of heaven, stating that it is not a physical location but is the Vairaj (the Cosmic Being) itself. This heavenly state is described as one where there is no cause for disease, worry, illness, sorrow, hunger, or thirst, and no fear of old age or death. In this state, the soul moves fearlessly, free from the duality of 'do's and don'ts'. The chapter explicitly contrasts this with a heaven that is merely a place for sensual enjoyment, which it dismisses as undesirable. It questions the value of such a place, asking, "Where there is no chanting of Govinda's name, what is the use of such a place?" Thus, as explained in Chapter 37, true heaven is a state of being and consciousness, not a destination for pleasure.
