According to Chapter 29, how did Sai Baba practice charity and distribute money? Was it a consistent practice?

📖 Chapter 29

Chapter 29 portrays Sai Baba as a saint with a generous disposition, steadfast in charity and righteousness. He was known to abundantly distribute money to pilgrims, the poor, and the needy, sometimes giving ten rupees and other times fifty. However, the chapter makes it very clear that this practice was not consistent or predictable. The text states, "This was Baba's constant manner - nothing was ever fixed." While he was merciful, he did not give to all who came to his door, including fakirs and beggars. As Chapter 29 explains, his mind was unknowable, and receiving this financial blessing was reserved for those whose "auspicious time had arrived," making the touch of his hand a fortune for the lucky.
