Chapter 23 of the Sai Satcharitra explains that the soul's true nature is Existence-Consciousness-Bliss (Sacchidananda) and it is, in reality, beyond the three gunas. However, it experiences suffering because, being deluded by Maya, it forgets this true nature and identifies with the body. Through pride, it thinks "I am the doer, I am the enjoyer," which leads to a succession of calamities. As described in this chapter, the only way to calm these calamities is through loving devotion (Bhakti Yoga) at the feet of the Guru, who can color the devotee in His own hue.
According to Chapter 23, what is the soul's true nature, and why does it experience suffering? What is the suggested remedy?
