According to Chapter 23 of Sai Satcharitra, why does the human soul experience suffering, and what is the suggested path to find peace?

📖 Chapter 23

Chapter 23 explains that the soul is, in its true essence, Existence-Consciousness-Bliss (Sacchidananda) and beyond the three gunas. However, it becomes deluded by Maya, causing it to forget its real nature and mistakenly identify with the physical body. This leads to pride, where the soul thinks "I am the doer, I am the enjoyer," and as a result, it becomes distressed by a series of calamities. According to the teachings in this chapter, the only way to calm these troubles and escape this cycle is through loving devotion (Bhakti Yoga) at the feet of a Guru.
