According to Chapter 17, why do people often choose the path of worldly pleasure, and what analogy is used to describe how a wise person should make their choice?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 17

Chapter 17 explains that individuals are drawn to Preya, the path of worldly pleasure, as long as there is an obsession with material things like gold, a craving for sensory objects, and a lack of discrimination and detachment. The dull-witted, caught in the cycle of maintaining their body, family, and status, naturally pursue Preya. To illustrate the correct choice, the chapter presents the analogy of a swan (Maral) that drinks only the pure milk from a mixture of milk and water. Similarly, it is taught that courageous, intelligent, and wise people should cling only to Shreya (the Good) and turn away from Preya, which is the true purpose of human life.
