According to Chapter 16, what is the proper attitude for a devotee when making offerings or providing service to a Sadguru?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 16

Chapter 16 explains that a Sadguru is "Aptakama," meaning one whose desires are already fulfilled, so he does not need anything from a disciple. However, he accepts service to fulfill the devotee's own desire to serve, thereby helping the devotee become desireless. The crucial factor is the attitude behind the offering. As Chapter 16 states, if a simple leaf or flower is offered with genuine faith, the Guru accepts it with great love and satisfaction. In contrast, if an offering is made with pride, He will turn away, demonstrating that sincere faith is valued far more than outward rituals or the material value of the offering.
