According to Baba, what is the relationship between the Soul and the body, and how does it perpetuate worldly existence?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 19

Baba explains that the union of the Soul (Atma) and the body is a supreme, unavoidable exception to the rule that friendship exists only between those of similar nature. As detailed in Chapter 19, the body is perishable, while the Soul is changeless and imperishable. Despite their different natures, their affection is so extraordinary that they cannot bear to be separate. It is precisely because of this immense love for each other that the cycle of worldly existence, or Samsara, continues. The Soul, though untainted like a crystal, appears to take on the qualities of the body it inhabs, much like a crystal reflects the color of an object near it without actually changing its own pure nature.
