According to Baba's teachings, what is the path to achieving a pure heart and what are its benefits?

To attain a pure heart, one must perform prescribed duties (Vihitakarma), as this is the method for cleansing impurities. As Chapter 17 explains, without performing these duties, purity of heart cannot be created. This process is essential because, without a pure heart, knowledge cannot be attained. Therefore, action, or Karma, is the root cause of attaining knowledge. Once the heart has become pure, the great benefits of discrimination and detachment are born. This, combined with the wealth of means like tranquility and self-restraint, can lead to liberation while living (Videhamukti) coming into one's hands.
