According to Baba's teachings, what is the consequence of perceiving oneself as separate from others and the world?

According to the wisdom shared in Chapter 14, the consequence of perceiving oneself as separate is significant. This mindset, where one thinks "I am different, and people are different," is a form of duality that traps an individual in the cycle of birth and death. This intellect that establishes duality is called "pure ignorance." When the mind gets stuck in such distinctions, based on attributes like name and form, it cannot attain a state of non-duality or peace. To escape this cycle, Baba advises abandoning the notion of separateness and realizing the single, unbroken essence that fills all of existence.
