A gentleman from Harda city named Dattopant was troubled by a severe stomach ache for fourteen long years, having exhausted all other remedies. Hearing of Sai Baba's power to remove afflictions, he traveled to Shirdi. As recounted in Chapter 13, he bowed at Sai's feet, explained his immense suffering, and expressed his firm belief that only a saint's look of love, prasad, and words of blessing could cure him.
